Baptism
A child who already is school age is normally required to participate in a program of the Rite of Christian Initiation before being baptized. Please contact the Religious Education office at (310) 515-6033 for more information.
English - or - Spanish
English Baptisms
Our English baptisms are held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 2 p.m. in the church. Both parents and both godparents are required to attend one pre-baptism class prior to the baptism. The English pre-baptism class is held in the Ministry Center from 7-8:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month.
In order to have your child baptized at St. Catherine's you must fill out a registration form. You will need to come into the church office to fill out the form prior to the day you take the class. There is a $35 donation that covers the baptism itself and the classes for the parents and godparents.
For Class Only - If you only need to take the pre-baptism class and will not be having your child baptized at St. Catherine's, you need to come into the church office to give us your information and receive your materials. For the class only it is a $20 donation.
