We are so happy to share an enormous thank you to our parishioner, Fabio Dellapasqua (professional painter), for spending his holidays patching our hall walls and painting. If you did not notice, the hall wall at the stage for some time was damaged with missing plaster and in dire need of patching. There was also a water leak in the corridor near the hall kitchen which made much of the paint peel and flake in one of the corners. We are so extremely grateful for Mr. Dellapasqua, who is not only a professional painter, but also a bass player for our Generations choir and has children attending our school. He patched and painted the wall along the stage, the doors leading to the kitchen corridor, as well as the corridor to the kitchen.
We also want to thank Angela Morvice (Religious Ed Director) and Paul Miller (parishioner, Generations choir director and Knights of Columbus member) who spent a day and a half removing and scraping tape from both walls and floors.
Along with the church, our hall is one of the most frequently used spaces for all our ministries, our school, and special gathering spaces for our parishioners.Though we still have much to do to care for the space, we encourage all people using the hall and stage to take care and consideration when setting up for an event, especially, when taping decorations or posters to the walls or floors or stage.
Going forward, we ask everyone to please only use low-tack blue painters tape, when possible and remove all tape immediately upon the end of your event. Much of the wall damage was from hard-to-remove tape and tape which had been adhering to the surface for a very long time.As we share the space with others, we not only want to take consideration in making the space usable and beautiful to everyone’s events but also to be appreciative of the time our parishioners spent cleaning, patching and painting the space. Thank you so much.
